PROJECT 1: Inovation Hub

 

SITUATION

Banda Aceh is in need of a place to encourage innovation, inspire the youth and promote works of artistic expression.

 

HOW MIGHT WE establish a public space for youth to express and facilitate inspiration and innovation in Banda Aceh?

 

SOLUTION

To construct a multifaceted building that is surrounded by parkland and concert space.

The building provides space that encourages innovation and inspires the youth.

The hub holds competitions for young people to pitch ideas and attracts guest speakers for education.

If a lower budget option is needed the innovation hub would be developed through a facebook group and university innovation and entrepreneurship club, utilising the popularity of mobile phones and proliferation of social media.

The hub is designed to bring the rich Acehnese culture, artistic expression and business innovation together into a multidisciplinary co-sharing working space.
